Flips!

Giddy Up

We got to go ride horses at an indoor arena with Winnie's cute friend Abe. Winton loved the horses. He is still talking about it! We had so much fun!

Of course he found the tractors! He liked them almost as much as the horses!

The first big snow of the season!

This was a few days ago. Today was probably worse, but I didn't get any pictures!

(Winston did have gloves on, but he couldn't hold the shovel, so they didn't last long!)

O Christmas Tree

Though I put up all of our Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving this year we didn't actually make it to the tree lot until about a week ago! Winston had a lot of fun picking out our tree and helping decorate it. Surprisingly he has left all the ornaments on the tree alone. I wish I could say the same for the presents underneath!

Four wheeler

Winston LOVES things that go. He always asks to sit on the four wheeler in the garage, and he is SO excited when Brett takes him for a ride around the neighborhood!

Happy Birthday!!!!!

Wow, I really can't believe Winston is two! These last two years have seriously flown by. Winston is an amazing little man. He has grown up so much lately. He is so much fun to be around, I am truly blessed to be able to spend so much of my time with him. I've realized that every minute really is precious! I feel like I just blinked and my baby is 2. Happy Birthday Winnie! I Love You!

"Peace Out"  as Winnie would say

Happy Thanksgiving!

We spent this Thanksgiving with Brett's family. Our cousins from Las Vegas came for the weekend. They have 2 little girls, one of which is just a few months older than Winston. He had so much fun playing with her, and it was so nice to hang out with Ryan and Jen. We don't get to see them nearly enough! We took all the kids to Kangaroo Zoo while they were here. This place is great, the kids love it and the adults can just sit back and watch! Well... ok, we might have joined in once or twice. But seriously, those big slides are pretty rad!

38 days till Christmas!!!

Have you started your shopping??? I love Christmas. I love the decorations, the music, the shopping, the parties... love it all! I broke out my decorations today, against Brett's wishes. He says they should wait until after Thanksgiving. I just couldn't help myself, I've been holding back since the day after Halloween. Brett put the lights on our house last weekend, however, he didn't plug them in yet, so I can't turn them on!

Say What?

Several times daily a conversation very similar to the following takes place between Winston and I.

On the way to Winston's gymnastics class at Flips today:

Winston: "Mom, I want go to Flips."
Me: "We're on our way."

Winston: "What?"
Me: "We're on our way to Flips right now."

Winston: "What?"
Me: "We're almost there."

Winston: "What?"
Me: "We'll be there in just a minute."

Winston: "What?"
Me: ...

Winston: "What?"
Me: ...

Winston: "What?"
Me: ...

What a deal.

I was really bored today. I took Winnie and Jayci to the dollar store. Jayci choose this lovely purple hat and pretty orange "princess" skirt! You would never guess this little number only set me back two bucks!

lesson learned

So... I locked my kid in my car. It was really scary and sad. It's one of those things you hear about and think "what an idiot, how could someone let that happen", turns out it's pretty easy! Thankfully it wasn't extremely hot outside. I called 911 as soon as it happened and a very nice officer tried for over 30 minutes to open the door. As you can see he did not succeed!  Winston sat calmly buckled in his car-seat while we tried to rescue him! He started to cry a little the last few minutes he was in there and he was pretty scared  while the officer was breaking the window. Hopefully I won't make that mistake again!
