lesson learned

So... I locked my kid in my car. It was really scary and sad. It's one of those things you hear about and think "what an idiot, how could someone let that happen", turns out it's pretty easy! Thankfully it wasn't extremely hot outside. I called 911 as soon as it happened and a very nice officer tried for over 30 minutes to open the door. As you can see he did not succeed!  Winston sat calmly buckled in his car-seat while we tried to rescue him! He started to cry a little the last few minutes he was in there and he was pretty scared  while the officer was breaking the window. Hopefully I won't make that mistake again!

Utah State Fair

Winston is all boy, I had to drag him away from the tractor!

The big yellow slide was always my favorite when I was little. You totally catch air going over the bumps!

We went shopping at Gardner Village on Brett's day off. Winston can usually do without shopping but he didn't mind it here.

One of the shop owners gave us some bread to feed the ducks.

He was a little weary of the petting zoo.

He loved the pony ride!

Liberty Park

Have you been to Liberty Park lately? I hadn't been there since I was really little and my grandparents used to take us to ride the paddle boats. Beth, Jenny, E'shell and I took the kids the other day and it is so nice! They have a few big play grounds and these cute cement streams that run in the middle of the park. The water is chlorinated, so it's clean and the perfect depth for the kids to play in.

Sleep-over

Boston and Jayci slept at our house last week while Lori and Jesse were at a wedding in Vegas. Winston loves his cousins so much, he was thrilled to have them over and so excited that they were still there when he woke up!

P.S. Jayci is not supposed to have bottles anymore. Her mom was out of town and the poor girl had just gotten stung by a bee! I wasn't going to tell her no!

Ward Camp-out

Our ward camp-out was last weekend. Winston had so much fun playing with all the kids in our ward, and we were happy to be able to meet so many new people.

Front Runner

Winston loves trains! He had a so much fun on FrontRunner with Abe. We took the train to Salt Lake and had lunch at the Gateway.

The train has three levels. We sat on the top so the boys could see out the window. They especially loved watching other trains pass us!
